Geeking out on The Watchmen (hairdos)

I’m not going to lie, I spent most of the movie awestruck by the hairdos.

Emulating the polished, motionless and helmet-likeness of drawn hair, the hairstyles in this film were immaculate. Although the majority of styles were most likely wigs, wig or not,  hair is a difficult material to work with and a hairstyle like Silk Spectre’s incredibly polished liberty rolls (picture below) must have taken forever!

Silk SpectreII’s long wig (below)  must have required several brushings throughout a scene. silspectreii

I was also impressed by Nite Owl II’s finger-waves:

The only time I noticed unruly hair was in this scene pictured below. The woman on the far right had a really frizzy curl on her right shoulder. However, when the camera turned to something else and then back, her frizzy curl was miraculously defrizzed. Amazing! (The picture does not show the frizzy curl I’m talking about, but maybe the next time you watch the movie you’ll see what I’m talking about.)
