Yes, still waiting to see this. A rags-to-riches story about the most famous hairstylist in the world, documenting how a haircut transformed our culture. Premiering in select cities this month, check out vidalsassoonthemovie.com for more info. Hopefully, it will make its way to Seattle this year.
In anticipation, there have been a number of recent articles about Vidal Sassoon and this movie. Click on the photo for a brief slide-show history of Sassoon.

A friend of mine introduced me to a social networking site that is exclusively for stylists and fashion enthusiasts. It’s a great place for stylists to network, share their ideas and learn from each other. There are tutorial videos, photos from fashion shoots, announcements and information about industry events; local groups, blogs and discussion boards that feature stylist inspiration, Q&As about color formulating, product & tool reviews, and general advice on industry related topics.
So far, I’m totally digging it.

Because many women are resisting fashion purchases, she said, ‘the only real area where people can influence change right now is their hair.’
